Watching

Autumn is here and the weekend was packed. On Sunday evening Nadine took a picture of the fog crawling onto the meadow.

On Saturday we spent the day at a housewarming party at friends of Nadine, and I had the pleasure of being asked to take pictures. I brought the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4, and it did a good job, it’s such a versatile lens.

On Sunday Nadine and I went to see Watching People Watching Birds, a mindful adventure into the lives of people who enjoy watching birds or work with them. It also shows how the well-being of birds has followed the rise and fall of humanity over centuries. Someone in the film mentioned that people in their forties tend to pick up birds as a hobby, which explains why the cinema was full of them.

Tilian still hasn’t given the Retroid back, so I made a small booklet for him, as the buttons each game shows on screen don’t match the ones on the device. He won’t need it once he has memorised all of it.

In ES-DE on the Retroid I turned on the Last Played collection and built a custom one with only German titles. I use a little Python script to update it as I add and remove games, and as I use the No-Intro naming format, the script can add most games to it fairly easily.
