Hypo 1.15
Right before our summer break I pushed a new release of Hypo out, macOS 15 (Sequoia) is now better supported, and during import a conversion to DNG (Adobe’s open raw image format) is available in Early Access.
DNG conversion is a feature I implemented from a user request, and it feels fun to build software for people and see they actually can do something with it. Even so, I didn’t feel like pushing it outside of a feature toggle.

And a handful of people do use it after I advertised it in a community on Threads: Hypo has a built-in version checker to provide in-app messages if a new release is out, and those version checks show up in my hosting provider’s anonymized access log (two out of four IP segments), which approximates the Hypo installations out there, more than 300 downloads and 21 active installations in the last seven days. This is as far as I want to go with analytics and knowing about my users.
Releasing Hypo to the wild really gave me a push of motivation, it’s embarrassing how it looked and felt only four weeks ago. That’s enough for now, until August no updates will be made. England across the channel awaits!
