Mixed Bag

This post is a bit of a mixed bag: more kestrel content, Hypo 1.11, a Sigma USB dock, and barn owls.

I spotted more kestrels this morning and got one taking off.

The Sigma USB dock finally arrived, and to my bad luck the telephoto lens was already up to date, so there is little chance to improve AF performance in combination with the Canon R5 and the EF-RF adapter.

I also released Hypo 1.11, with some quality of life features for people who export to folders instead of Apple Photos, plus some minor UI polish.

Nadine got invited tonight, for 21:30, by the couple that runs the local NABU chapter to visit a family of barn owls, two adults and five fledglings, in an old barn outside the village. Later they called and said all five fledglings died yesterday and the parents are nowhere to be found. They are investigating the cause, and while there is speculation, I am not going to spread rumours here. I am sad for the NABU, who have been feeding and visiting them every single day, and Nadine had been so excited to finally see the barn owls.
