Hike

I went on a 15 km hike, I had the day off as it is a public holiday in Bavaria and I follow that schedule rather than the local Saxonian one. Half way through the hike Nadine picked up Aika, she deserved a break and I hadn’t had a single good shot on the Canon anyway - So I had to continue.

The last weeks have been dreadful for taking good pictures, naively I thought that with spring, and now summer, there would be plenty of wildlife around, but no, it is really good at hiding this time of year, and interesting architecture or busy places as alterantives sources for photos are obviously scarce in a village of 300 people too. It also tells me how much I get to see other places these days, not much.

I discovered a new stretch of forest I can’t remember ever visiting when I grew up here. So that’s nice.

Back home after 15 km, still without a single good photo on the camera, the redstart family showed up again. It’s nice because you hear them all the time and they are always close. So that’s today’s photo, as if the hike never happened.
