Winter Vacation (Pt. 4)

Kellin woke up with a fever, so my father-in-law and I stayed back with him while the others hit the slopes.

We started the morning early with fever syrup and a long breakfast. Then the three of us headed out for a walk through Mayrhofen. I picked up a small toy car for Kellin along the way, twice the price it would be at home, vacation tax? He spent the rest of the afternoon playing with it between naps.

The apartment owner’s dog Paula is the complete opposite of Aika. They avoid eye contact, keep maximum distance in the hallway and pretend the other one doesn’t exist.

Tilian is having a great time at ski school, today was his first day with poles. In the early evening the two boys ended up with Mario Kart, Tilian playing and Kellin watching from the couch.

Nadine, her mother and Tilian are getting the most out of the slopes. The rest of us had a quiet day, which was nice in its own way.
