Summer Vacation, Day 7: Ladram Bay
From Poole we moved on to Ladram Bay in Devon, around 150 km, with stops at the Spyway Dinosaur Footprints and Durdle Door. For the night we are staying at Ladram Bay Holiday Park.

Second, we stay two nights at Ladram Bay. The dinosaur footprints were straightforward to get to from Poole, we parked 1.5 km away from the location at the nearest parking spot, walking through an active quarry to get to the footprints. The footprints were so underwhelming I did not feel there is a proper picture that can show how invisible they are, it’s flat rocks with dents. Neither Nadine nor I could see footsteps. Next Durdle Door, large car park, vendors and a thousand people. It’s a steep walk down to the beach and back, the view is great and the beach clean. We relaxed two hours at the beach, swam and enjoyed the sun. At 4pm, we headed towards Ladram Bay along the coast, as we learned in the past days it took us close to three hours to cover a distance of 90 km. We arrived at 7pm in Ladram Bay, finished dinner by 8:30pm and went to the beach for a final swim. Dogs are not allowed so Aika and I stayed on the Beach Shack deck, it’s their fancy name for an ice cream bar and to our surprise they serve different types of dairy-free ice cream.
