Summer Vacation, Day 6: Poole

From Brighton we moved on to Poole, around 180 km. For the night we are staying at South Lytchett Manor in Lytchett Minster, a village a few kilometers west of Poole.

Before we left Brighton, I had to go to Asda in Brighton Marina to fetch Nadine a big Foster’s 18-can box. She’s a big fan of Foster’s and regardless of whether we have the space in the van or not, the box needed to come with us. The drive from Brighton to near Poole was a challenge, it took us 4 1/2 hours with no stops. Whoever reads this and doesn’t know, it takes a while to get around the coastal roads including A- and M-roads. Once we arrived, we set everything up and went to explore the area, we ended up in a beer garden and bar on the campsite, it was packed! Nadine engaged in small talk with other campers, the kids roamed around. Nadine tried her first IPA in ages, it was ‘Neck Oil’ from the tap and she rated it 7/10. For dinner we cooked traditional German red cabbage, gravy, meat-free mini schnitzel and potatoes from the farm we stayed at on our second night.
