Summer Vacation, Day 18: Hindon

From Porthcothan we drove 270 km to Hindon over the A roads and the M5, staying the night at Martha’s Down.

We left Porthcothan late and arrived at the campsite in the afternoon. We did a longer ride to bridge the distance to Dover while planning a visit to Stonehenge tomorrow. The campsite is a lovely well-maintained and wide place, only three more campers are here. The weather is warm with close to no wind, so we did not set up the tarps and have the light setup out. For dinner we walked into Hindon to eat at The Grosvenor Arms. It’s a pricey place with good service. The boys had beans, chips and vegan sausage. We went for the vegan cauliflower shawarma.
