It’s been raining quite a lot recently, I haven’t been out with the bike for a week, which after six weeks out three times a week could be a trend in the wrong direction. Better stop that early. Jasper did his first sub 30 5k, I had no idea what that means but thankfully the internet told me, it sounds like a significant milestone and is very nice.
With the rain I was cautious with the camera. Got a nice shot of this fun guy (ba dum tss), they were so bright you could spot them from afar.

On a rainy Sunday there was not much to do. I reset the Steam Deck because it was acting up, dropping wifi every 10 seconds and not holding a charge, set it up again and played four minutes of Diablo IV. I can not get into this game at all. It is discounted on Steam though.
I also played Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots, I enjoyed Delta (the remake) and Metal Gear Solid V a lot, so this was a must-buy. It is very janky and the controls are outright hostile. I wonder why they did not give it the Delta treatment.
Anthropic released an update to the Claude Code CLI and the Claude desktop app, both have proper file explorers and sticky diffs now. Which is funny because I wrote a few days ago how to achieve the same with Zed. Might drop Zed then soon.
Did some updates to the website, changed the font to Hanken Grotesk and introduced a clearer separation between labels and links that should improve how easy it is to navigate the website. Also the article header is now fixed on mobile, and there is a search now, you find it in the archive next to the filters.
I use a lot of worktrees, virtual machines to test Hypo, and Hypo has bugs that leave old cache files behind, so I ran into space problems more often than I liked. Radix was helpful to see where the space went, I freed up a few hundred gigabytes that way, more than once. It is open source, installs with brew install --cask radix, and it does not carry the enshittified bloat of DaisyDisk. It also brings me to the idea of making Hypo installable with brew, and introducing auto updates along with it.
