Markfest

We went with Nadine’s parents to the Kulinarisches Marktfest in Groitzsch, where the Kellin made it straight for the bouncy castle, had no interest at all in the clown show, and Tilian set off on his own little tour.

About the Markfest, it is good to see how a few ambitious people are reviving the town, the Event Factory that now also runs the Volkshaus, the monthly business meet-up and network, and the Café LivingRoom have brought plenty of events and places back to life.

To our surprise there was no vegan food option and thunder with rain set in after half an hour, so we moved dinner with Nadine’s parents back to our place, with pasta, coffee and a short nap on the couch.

This morning I met the redstart fledgling in front of our house, its father still keeps a close watch as it dares its first steps away from the nest.
