Nadine's Birthday
It’s Nadine’s birthday. We talked about it last week. We spoke about it on the weekend. This morning the boys and I forgot about it and left the house without saying anything. What a terrible family. We don’t deserve her.
On top of that, the present I ordered for Nadine when I was in the UK went out of stock and I had to reorder last week. Of course it didn’t arrive in time, likely only tonight. At time of writing it’s not here yet. I am so sorry for her.
Before the regret hit this morning I was joyful, not knowing what mess I was already in, playing around with the Sigma TC 1401 teleconverter to stubbornly make it still work, sunk cost fallacy at its best again. I got a reasonably good-looking shot at f/9, ISO 1600, 1/250 and burst shooting. It’s a sparrow though. This post and the video of Simon d’Entremont sum it up well.
