Winter Vacation (Pt. 7)
Last full day in Mayrhofen. A round of Hus, a Mario Kart World cup, three groups heading in different directions and Tilian finally spending his pocket money.
The morning started with Tilian and his grandmother playing a round of Hus, a game I’ve never quite figured out. After that he and I played a cup in Mario Kart World. Back then I wasn’t a fan but Tilian loves it, and playing it together is fun.

After breakfast we split into three groups. I took the boys to the Erlebnisbad Mayrhofen, Nadine went on a 14 km hike through the Zillertal with Aika and my in-laws went for a walk and then shopping. We spent about three hours at the pool. Tilian went down every slide on his own while Kellin and I had a good time in the kids’ pool.

Nadine took her Canon EOS 2000D and hiked along the left side of the Ziller all the way to Ramsau, then came back on the Easy Trail on the other side of the valley. She came back with a full camera roll:

In the afternoon Tilian wanted to spend the pocket money he’d been saving up. We also sent out handmade postcards to his school and Kellin’s kindergarten, Nadine had made them. Then we hit the toy store. Tilian took his time browsing and picked an RC car. Back at the apartment he and Kellin took it for a test drive together.

We ended the day packing up the apartment. Tomorrow we leave before sunrise to beat the traffic out of the valley and at the border, one last early morning in the mountains.
