Winter Vacation (Pt. 1)
We made it to Mayrhofen. Around 600 km, about 7 hours on the road with two short breaks. The drive was smooth, nothing to complain about.
The only letdown: no snow in the valley. The peaks are white, but down here everything is muddy brown. Not the end of the world, just not the scenery I had in mind.
The apartment is nice though. It faces towards Hintertux and the center of Mayrhofen, which means the sun rises behind the mountains to our left. Could make for interesting morning light if the conditions are right.
I already took the Sony RX100 VII for a first spin and grabbed a few quick snapshots.
Nadine set up her Canon EOS 2000D on the tripod. The plan is to shoot the night sky if the stars decide to show up. If they don’t, I’m counting on the sunrise instead. I also got an absolute lucky shot with her 200mm telephoto lens from the 90s, straight off the tripod.
